When I photograph dogs and horses, I always think about the finished piece, how it will look framed, how it will still matter years from now.

They explored every part of the woods, took turns posing, then went straight back to running, jumping, and finding puddles. Nothing staged, just two dogs doing exactly what they enjoy. It is the kind of session that always delivers good photographs because it feels like their normal routine.

Once the capes and armour came out, the woodland looked different. The horses stood a little taller, the riders settled into the theme, and the whole scene had a quiet, almost magical style to it. Nothing forced, just a fun change from the usual.
