Meet Biscuit – a charming Beagle mix with soulful eyes and endless personality. I recently had the pleasure of photographing her in the autumn-kissed woodlands of Nottinghamshire, where the earthy tones and scattered leaves provided the perfect setting to showcase her playful spirit and natural beauty.
From the moment she trotted into view, ears bouncing with each step, Biscuit brought an infectious energy to the shoot. Whether she was perched proudly on a mossy log, darting along leafy paths, or calmly posing under a canopy of trees, she was a joy to capture.
One of the most delightful moments came when a crisp leaf landed squarely on her head – and she stayed perfectly still, eyes curious and focused. It’s in these spontaneous, unscripted seconds that a dog’s character truly shines through.
Biscuit was also fascinated by the swirling leaves, playfully pawing at the autumn air, fully immersed in her woodland playground.
As a dog and horse photographer based in Southwell, Nottinghamshire, I specialise in capturing dogs just like Biscuit in their natural surroundings – relaxed, expressive, and full of life. I believe in letting dogs be dogs, which means giving them the space and freedom to run, explore, and simply be themselves.
The result is a gallery of images that tells a story – not just of how they look, but who they are.If you’d love timeless portraits of your dog in the Nottinghamshire countryside – whether it’s through the seasons of Sherwood Forest, fields around Southwell, or hidden woodland paths – comment or message me to book your shoot.
