There is something very special about photographing older dogs. They carry a calm wisdom and warmth that radiates through the lens – and Boomer was no exception.

This handsome boy brought his gentle nature and expressive face to our countryside session, and it was an absolute pleasure to capture him in his element.

Boomer’s session took place in the heart of Nottinghamshire, surrounded by soft autumn leaves, quiet meadows and golden light.

His dark, expressive eyes and salt-and-pepper muzzle told a story of loyalty and love – and every image we created together reflects that.Despite his senior years, Boomer’s spirit was full of joy.

He trotted through the grass, posed in pockets of wildflowers, and took a moment to rest with that classic lolling tongue and contented expression that every dog lover recognises.

Whether nestled in the shade or lit by the softness of a late summer afternoon, Boomer was the perfect model.
