There’s something truly special about photographing dogs in their own space – familiar, relaxed, and brimming with their unique personalities.

This session with Donna’s trio of lively terriers took place in her garden in Nottinghamshire and was an absolute delight from start to finish.

Donna’s garden offered the perfect setting – blooming flowers, lush grass, and dappled sunlight created a warm, summery backdrop for these spirited dogs to shine. Each of them brought their own character to the session – from playful leaps and wagging tails to those quieter, soulful glances that speak volumes.

Throughout the shoot, I focused on capturing each dog’s personality – from energetic mid-air ball catches to those heart-melting sit-and-stare moments.

The final group image of all three dogs together is a carefully crafted composite – ideal for owners with multiple pets who may not always sit still at the same time. By photographing each dog individually and blending them seamlessly in post-production, I’m able to create a timeless portrait that celebrates their bond without the stress.
