Most clients say the session feels more like a relaxed countryside walk than a formal photo shoot. There’s no pressure for your dog to pose or behave perfectly — we move at their pace, stopping naturally when the right moment appears. Whether your dog is shy, full of energy, always on the lead, or just totally themselves, I adapt the session to suit them.
You’re welcome to be part of the portraits too — some of the most cherished images are the quiet, in-between moments shared between dog and owner. This is about capturing who they really are, without forcing anything.

FAQ’s
Can I bring more than one dog?
Yes. You are very welcome to bring more than one dog. The session is planned around your dogs and their needs. If you have more than two, just mention this on the form so I can allow enough time.
How long does the photo shoot last?
Most sessions last around 60 to 90 minutes. This gives plenty of time for dogs to settle, have a walk, and capture natural portraits without rushing.
Where will the session take place?
Sessions take place outdoors in the Nottinghamshire countryside. Exact locations are agreed in advance and chosen for quiet surroundings, good light, and space for dogs and horses to feel comfortable.
My dog stays on the lead. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Many dogs stay on the lead. I photograph in a way that allows leads to be removed in editing where needed, while keeping everything safe and relaxed on the day.
My dog is very excitable. Will that affect the photos?
No. Excitable dogs are very normal. I work at your dog’s pace and allow time for them to burn off energy, explore, and settle. Calm moments happen naturally when there is no pressure.
How long before I see my images?
You will be invited to your private online viewing around two to three weeks after your session. This allows time for careful editing and preparation of your gallery.
Can owners be included in the photographs?
Yes. Owners are very welcome to be included. Many people choose a mix of portraits of their dog or horse alone, as well as images together. The focus is always on connection rather than posing.
